Majority want compulsory car insurance, but the case for it is weak

In a recent article written by Rob Stock from Stuff, he discusses the need for compulsory car insurance in New Zealand. What do you think? Should it be compulsory?

In a new survey, data shows that 90% of 2000 drivers were in favour of compulsory third-party car insurance. The survey also advised that 24% of these drivers have been hit by an uninsured driver at some point.
